This notice explains the first Essex.club interest-registration and partner-enquiry service. It should be reviewed before the platform adds payments, public profiles or member messaging.
Who we are
Essex.club is a local community initiative designed to arrange hosted social gatherings across Essex. Questions can be sent to hello@essex.club.
Information we collect
When you join an interest circle, we collect your name, email address, town, optional postcode district, interests, availability, whether you expect to attend alone, consent choices and technical security information such as IP address.
Partner enquiries may include your organisation, role, telephone number and message.
Why we use it
- To record and measure genuine demand for local gatherings.
- To contact you about circles and gatherings you requested.
- To respond to partner enquiries.
- To prevent spam, protect the service and understand aggregate demand.
- To send broader guides or offers only where you separately agree.
Lawful basis
We use information to provide the service you requested, pursue the legitimate interest of planning safe and relevant gatherings, and rely on consent for optional marketing.
Sharing and storage
We do not sell member contact details. Information may be processed by infrastructure, email, analytics and payment providers acting for Essex.club. Information is stored using access-controlled services and retained only for as long as needed for the stated purpose, legal obligations and dispute management.
Your choices and rights
You may unsubscribe from marketing at any time and can ask to access, correct or delete your information. Email hello@essex.club. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
Children
This first release is for adults aged 18 and over. Children must not register for their own account.
